Problem with Railing End post.

Anonymous

Hello,

I am having an issue with railing post here.

I want the end post of type-2 railing like it is shown in type-1.

Both the end posts have been modeled separately with one side glass holder clamps.

I could not achieve it even after spending long time with the settings.

Please find the attached reference files. (Revit file created in 2018 version)

And help me out please.

Thanks.

So you want a corner post at each segment end?

Can you share the file?

On another thought, can you build the clamps into the panel family so that you only need a single family for baluster and posts?

@Anonymous: my point was that you have "Never" set under "Corner Post at". Set it to "Each Segment End".

The sample rail project located here may be of help to you:

I'm not at a 2018 station right now, but did you try what I suggested? That should do the trick.

Please have a look at the revit file that i have shared.

Your answers helps me to finish the work for now.(attaching clamps to the panel)

Still is there any way to fix this by adjusting settings?

Thank you @ToanDN

Spread to fit didn't work (on Main Pattern) either?! Weird. Also, weird about that link. I copy and pasted it at the same time I posted the reply. Someone else reading this thread here, must have grabbed the last one off the site. They ran out of stock I guess. HA!

Smiley Very Happy

Spread to fit pattern gives me the expected solution in the corner post.

But it moves the panel location.

Still i am attaching the solution here that i gave me relief for now.

See attached file.  I had to set the start and end post spacing to 0 and extend the top rail by editing its path.  Still, I would go with keeping the clamps in the panel family (1) instead of the posts and balusters (2).  (1) you only need one baluster family for all conditions. (2) you need a number of post families to cover corner turning left, corner turning right, and different angles if you have them.

 @ToanDN. Thats awesome.

Thanks for spending your time on the file.

You are correct.  I finished the work by attaching clamps to the panel. I found it is the easiest and smart way for my case.

Thumps up.
