Problem with linked CAD file, "no valid elements"

Hello, I am not a Revit newbie, but I recently needed to link with CAD file to a Revit center file. In the begining, it worked fine. Now I can no longer link any CAD file. Revit responds with Import detacted no valid elements in the file's Paper space, while I linked the same CAD file to other Revit file successfully. Below I attach with the problem screenshot. Thanks in advance if you have a look of my question and give me answers to it.1619667624118725.png1619667630570089.png

@dream.du

Otherwise...Do not link or import CAD into an activated view on Sheet.

Sheet space in Revit is equivalent to Paper Space in Autocad. When you link a DWG on to a view activated on sheet, it will try to import/link the Paper space from Autocad

  • OPEN the view First and then Link or import the CAD directly therein

Thanks. But I tried the solution, it doesn’t work. When I imported a different cad file, it also has the same problem.

Which solution? Where are you importing or linking the CAD to?!

Open a new Revit file and link it into the plan or 3D ...do you have any issue? if no, then it is what you see in the image posted in the previous reply
