Problem with flooring

Hello,

I have just started modelling on Revit and I came across a problem when working around the flooring. The flooring comes out of the 1st floor and the block can be seen from the downstairs entrance, I would like to know how to fix it so it doesn't not show and is covered by brick. I do apologize if it is a simple fix, as I am still learning Revit.

  1. Select the top wall
  2. and on the properties panel give it a Base offset to cover the floor slab
  3. Then use Join Geometry to join Wall to Floor

I try to think how that would be built in real life, then try to model it that way.

You could edit the opening in the wall (select the wall and edit profile)

You could add a extra section of wall at that height and width (setting top and bottom constraints)

I've tried doing all the following steps, but when I use Join Geometry it doesn't enable me to select both of the objects ( Wall and Floor ) .

You select first wall then floor...not together...If that doesn't work then you might have already joined them

Join the top and lower walls to the Left too (Alternatively select all walls on the lower levels and give them a top negative offset )

Yeah, I think they are already joined. I've included the file in this message if it makes it easier to look into, as I am not sure why is it not working.

How exactly do you want it to work? Many ways and thing can be done

Example:

  1. Split the bottom face of the FLoor slab
  2. Paint the split part of the floor and the bottom of the wall with brick material

An Alternative is to add a soffit
