Did you get the model from someone else?
You might want to make sure all of your service packs are installed. http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/downloads
If you got the model from someone else, they may be using a different version of Revit (service pack level)
Can you post a screen shot? Please use the Snipping tool so you can save as a png..
Usually you have to click ESC to get out of a command, or click Modify. But it shouldn't be grayed out at all if it was a new project.
Here it is before I click it (top) and after (bottom). Everything in every ribbon and view is locked, as well as everything along the side; no error messages.
Can you go to your options and then select Graphics....is there a warning there?
snip...(you already posted comp specs)
Make sure your Video card drivers are up to date, if you still have issues, roll back your drivers to an earlier version.
Also, are you using Display Zoom since you got a pretty high resolution system? Make sure it is at 100%.
I deselected the Hardware Acceleration after snipping it, and I have tried Revit with the 960M and an Intergrated Drive, no effect. I have also upgraded my driver to no effect, as well as the display zoom.
Wow....The only other option I can think of is maybe turning down the actual screen resolution....perhaps the 4k is too much. I have heard of some people having issues with 4K screens, but the ones that don't have issues have 4K external monitors.
hi, i dont have any problem with my Revit 2016 it works fine.
Can you try to open/use different template, let say Construction or Mechanical Template or Structural template and see if still the same problem you encounter? or you didnt use the architectural template? hope it helps. thanks
While Revit may be reporting that it sees your GTX card, I wonder if Windows is switching to the integrated video card?
You might try disabling the non-nvidia card in the device manager, reboot and try running Revit again.
On PC's it's normal to disable the mobo video card in the BIOS since there is no physical connection to the monitors, this is not the same for Laptops, since the Integrated and Discrete video cards share the same port.
Because you should be flying with those system specs... Do any other programs seem to have issues too?
