I work for a window manufacturer and I have a problem with a IFC plan I got from a client.
It’s a simple building with a couple of windows and doors.
The plan is exported from Allplan.
But if I open the IFC in Revit (2018) I noticed that the height and width of the windows and doors or not visible in the properties.
We need the height and width for our production software that import the windows and doors form Revit.
And because the height and width are not visible in Revit the production software does not recognize the windows and doors.
Just to be sure I opened the IFC in a viewer.
And in the viewer the height and width of the windows and doors are visible.
So it seems that the height and width where correctly exported from Allplan in the IFC file but is lost when it is opened in Revit.
So I don’t know if this is a Revit or a Allplan problem.
Maybe I do something wrong when I open the IFC in Revit?
Or is it het way it is exported out of Allplan?
Are there people who have had the same problem?
Hi @Anonymous
Please try installing the IFC for Revit addin
Confirm if you have the latest updates for Revit 2018 installed on your machine.
Import via the addin and see if that helped resolve the issue.
See product documentation: About Revit and IFC

Is it possible that you share the Revit model and a journal to investigate further? Let me know and i can share a private folder link.
