PROBLEM MAKING ROOM TAGS IN GROUPS OF MULTYSTORY APARTMENT BUILDING

hello,

They passed me at work a model of an apartment buidling with 20 levels and each aparment type saved as a group, and they ask me to take areas out but when i try to put the room tag to the apartments (groups) it appears me two different things (depending on the group i select)

1)

or

2) rev2.PNG

and if i select to move to room it happens me something super weird, it automatically create some  room borlines that dont even exist

@mjcastanedav hello, try to edit groups > check your view range (properties) and try to adjust value and see if helps. thanks

Have you tried selecting a Group and Attach Detail Group?

Hi @mjcastanedav,

There are two issues there.

  1. Your rooms do not shut properly. This is a GEOMETRY issue, that can happen for a few reasons:
    1. Go to a section view, select your level and ajust the Computaion height in the levels settings to the desired height (usually 1.8m)
    2. Go to your plan view, and display EVERYTHING (including using the lighting bulb at the bottom of the view), to see if the is no Room separation - Walls - etc that are not displayed and would explain that your rooms do now enclose what you want
    3. Check wall juctions, etc that can as well influence the room perimeter.
  2. When working on multi-storey building that repeat the same floors, work with GROUPS, and ATTACHED DETAIL GROUPS.

when editing the group, click on the attach button to create the group, and then the following option will be available when selecting a group:
    00-group2.PNG
You will be able to tag all the rooms of a group in a single click!
Being attached to the group means that - as well - it stays in sync!
