Printing tiff images to PDF

Hi there, I'm using Revit LT 2016 and am having trouble with an imported .TIF image in the titleblock:

Logo prints in high resolution to both our paper printers, but comes out quite grainy when printing to PDF. Have tried increasing / maximizing the output resolution both in the Revit print dialog box, and the PDF printer dialog box. This only led to marginal improvements - still nowhere near as crisp as it should be for that resolution.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Try the following.

Definitely better, thanks!

So why would the grayscale make a difference?

I am not a image expert so I don;t have enough technical terms to explain why. But if you try to open a 16 million color photo (24 or 32-bit) in PhotoShop, then convert it to gray scale (8-bit), then convert it to black and white (1-bit), you will see why.
