Printing raster and vector views on the same sheet

Hey folks 😄

I'm using Revit LT 2017. I have some shaded 3d views that I would like to print on the same sheet as some vector plan, elevation and section drawings.

Trouble is that when I add the shaded views to the sheet, the line drawings look very faded.  Just the model elements.  The annotation elements are still black and clear.

I see the issue is Revit's use of raster printing for the sheet and I've seen Autodesk's reply Jan 2017 saying they were working on it, but the problem still exists in the latest 2017.2 update.

Does anyone have a Revit workaround for this?  Hate to start using Adobe products just for printing sheet pdfs.

Thanks!!

You can try saving the shaded views as images in the revit project, and then use them on your sheet. You will loose the direct link with the initial view, and you will need to manually "update" the saved images every time you change, but I think this will let you keep the vector printing on, Waiting for the Autodesk solution.

Thank you!  Better workaround than image editing software.

Looking forward to Autodesk giving this some attention.  It would really help revit be a more effective and efficient tool in early briefing and sketch stages.

Thanks for the help.  🙂
