Printing from Revit results in different background color

Hi, Not sure if anyone can help me but I'm in a mess as I can't understand why my prints are coming out wrong.  I have applied a background colour to my revit elevations and saved them as a JPEG to import into a publishing software package where I am creating my degree show layouts.  I have created the same RGB colour I used in Revit as the background colour in this other document that the Revit drawings get overlayed.  On screen everything is fine and the blend between the two is what I want ( IE you cannot see any difference in colour).  I have PDF'd it and that looks good too.  However, when I come to print the background for the Revit JPEG is noticeably darker.  I don't know if this is a Revit issue or the JPEG or the software I am using to pull all the image together.  Either way I am a bit naffed off with it as I have my Final Review on Friday!!

Has anyone any ideas please?20180515_164056_HDR.jpg

Why don't you export your images as pdf or png that don't have a background and insert them on the page with the grey background?

Thanks for the reply.  Unfortunately Revit does not create a PNG or PDF like CAD does.  PDFs and PNG files have a white background compared to a transparent background when you convert a CAD drawing to PDF or PNG.  Its something I don't understand as they come from the same company so you would expect them to do the same thing!

Yes, but I have exported to PDF before and inserted the PDF onto Photoshop, and the background is transparent. In fac,t I always either do that or export to InDesign and I have no problems. But I guess it depends on what program you are using for your design.

Hi @Anonymous

Which version of Revit are you using? Can you check if your updates are in place?

Is your graphics card compatible with the Revit version?

Did you try with a different PDF printer other than the one you use currently?

Can you confirm if your pdf printer and the physical printer is updated with the latest driver?

What software are you using for the imaging?

Looking forward to your reply update.

Regards,
