For before Revit 2022 I had created a "PROJECT DISCIPLINE ORDER" PARAMETER ASSIGNED TO THE SHEETS. With that i ordered the sheets in the project browser by discipline. the problem was, when I printed to a PDF, the sheets were printed in the order by sheet name (i.e. A before C, etc.). My workaround was to re-order them in Bluebeam.
Problem with editing in Bluebeam is that it is cumbersome, and can be forgotten or done wrong by accident.
Did anyone find a way with the Revit 2022 export-PDf feature? there is a tool to name single sheets based on parameters. but this doesn't really help me , since that tool only works for when you don't combine the sheets into a single PDF. and I want to create my planset into one PDF.
the only other way to print to PDF in the correct order seems to be to number sheets in the order they shall appear. Problem is, this creates untypical sheet numbers.
Did anyone come up with something?
I feel Autodesk s on the right path with the PDF feature, but not quite there yet.
I have yet to try the PDF creator in R22 but if you're not opposed to using a 3rd party add-ins I'd recommend pyRevit. The benefit of using pyRevit is that it prints from a sheet index schedule instead of a sheet/view set. This means you can create a schedule and organize it however you want and pyRevit will print it in that order, individual or combined. It's a free add-in with a ton of other features beyond PDF printing. Check it out here if you're interested.
Unfortunately our IT doesn't allow software installation without an elaborate approval process. And for cheap of free software we typically are not able to get all the paperwork form the vendor.
