Prevent Tagging of Elements in Linked Models

I use keynote material to tag my finish floor materials. I have a model linked in for structure, which includes structural floors. These slabs and my finish floors are all set at 0'0" just for simplicity of modeling and graphic. When trying to keynote tag my materials, Revit prioritizes tagging the material on the structural slab instead of the ones that I have modeled. One workaround (a terrible one) is to hide the floors from the linked models and then go about tagging my own. To not see through to the floor below, I need to then unhide those floor again.

Is there a way to disallow tagging of the linked model elements? For this project, I have zero need to tag or keynote anything that I have linked in.

If I remember correctly, Revit does not tag elements in linked models by default. You need to activate "include elements in linked models" or similar.

Select the link and use the Sunshades to Temporary Hide the Category before keynoting. Reset when done keynoting.

that option is only available when tagging in bulk. When you do individual tagging, it picks all elements of linked model and there is no option to disable it.
