When clicking shop drawings on a assembly, the title block used by revit precast extension shows the weight, but the weight always get set to zero or less than zero, sometimes it shows negative values.
Volume calculation is correct in the material take off, but not the weight in the title block.
How is the weight calculated in the title block?
Density is set on all materials used.
The Label in the Title block says it's shows MassSheet, do I need to create a mass sheet or a schedule?
In all the videos I've watched the weight just comes there automatically - I want that too!
I'm using Revit 2019.1 with the latest precast extension and the included Shop Drawing Template "Solid Wall - A3".
No, I don't think so. Don't think a regular material take off is the answer to how the weight is calculated when using the precast extension. The title block refers to a MassSheet.
But I might be wrong...
Anyone out there who has been using the extension and knows where the calculation is done?
See the attached screendumps.
Ok now I get weight when I try with a solid one layer wall with material with density set. I missed to set material when I tested with generic wall first... As soon as I try with my own sandwich wall I get zero weight.
I get the same as this guy!
Don't know if that's the point with this video cause there are no comments about it but he gets zero weight in the first assembly drawing - watch:
Ok kind of figured it out by myself, after dividing pars also need to split with the precast tool.
Don't have a clue why, but when I do it that way weights seem to work.
This is what helped me:
