Possible to Subregion from Split Surface - Topography

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if it's possible to create a 'subregion' from a previously 'split surface' from the topography.

Scenario:

After generating the topography, we created a road with 'split surface'.

The reasoning behind his was to set the road topography down about 6" to visually create a curb.

We now would like to move the road, but since the split surface is a set of points (not lines), our only solution is to merge both surfaces, and redo the road.

Is it possible to go from a split surface, to a subregion in a merged topography?

Is it possible to generate the perimeter of a topography? (allow us to copy and paste lines, then adjust them in a subregion)

Thanks!

Maybe you can save your work. That is make the Split Surface into a road and put curbs to it.

What I'm talking about is Exporting the Split Surface to DWG and then Importing the DWG into an In-Place Massing Envirionment to create a Mass onto which you could apply a Roof by [Mass] Face(s).  The Roof would be your Road.  You can use the Gutter Tool on it to make Curbs.

FWIW.

...this PDF describes in detail the workflow I'm referencing:

Accepted solution
- Export the site plan with the splitted surfaces to DWG
- Merge surfaces
- Link the DWG in the site plan, turn on Wire Frame
- Create subregion and pick lines from the DWG link linework
