Hi all,
I have made a revit nested family of 2 steelpanels in a 90 degrees corner.
What I want is the outside corner always stick together with those 2 panels.
You can choose different thickness of each panel. Param measuremt is part-1 (deel-1) and part-2 (deel-2)
How can I best made this family, so the corners always stcik together?
Next question is: the user has to give 1 dimension (of deel 1) and the other part (deel-2) has to be together max 1060mm. The minimum of part 1 is 250mm. How can I put this in a formula?
Last question: is it possible if you load in a project thickness 80 (panel-1) that automatically panel 2 is also the same thickness?
Thanks in advance!
Hi, i can not open your file, because its version.
But try to use the "if" structure:
check this out.

(if you can send a version <=2020 file, maybe i can open it)
@Mikeymore : I've read your post and looked at your file and I am unclear about what it is that you are trying to do. Can you provide more information?
Hi, thanks for the time you took!
Hereby the explanation of my Family.
I have broke something, because dimension-2 of the voidposition of panel 2 isn't paramteric anymore.
It works in the family itself, but not as it is nested in the complete family?
Hope you can help me out with my problems?
Thanks in advance!
What I want is just a "connecting" point in the inner corner, where the 2 panels meet.
That must always be together, no matter the thickness of the 2 panels.
I have tried it with a ref. plane, but didn't succeed. I places a ref plane at the cut voud inner corner of the panel family, but I don't see the ref plane anymore when loaded in the nested family.
Anybody a solution for doing this?
Thanks in advance!
I made a reference plane and checked make origin in the inner corner and that works.
