Ultra wide monitor with a 2024 Revit seems still to not work, considering dropdown and right click popup menus.
Edit. The bug is: the menus don't show, they are not visible. Right click menu does not appeaer, and dropdown menus don't appear.
I was investigating the issue using Google and mostly discovered similar issues, earliest dating back to 2005. Is it really so that this sort of glitch just keeps on tagging along - is it not an industry standard yet, to make sure at least these things work, whenever there is a publishing of a new version? 2024 has been out for a year, and the pop up menus don't work. There's soon gonna be a 2025 version - hopefully at least the pop up menus have been fixed before that.
I am posting this under a small frustration as this was NOT included in the list of "things I need to test with 2024 before I move to it from my 2023 Revit" -things. I did general testing, doing stuff, making sure regular things work, then I proceeded to switch, which is always a multi hour project - and as I started to do actual design with the 2024, I only discovered I am utterly unable to do any real design with the product due to such a small and tiny bug. Just one button on my mouse, and it does not work and stands between me and the product.
I did find some mentions that this has been reported as a bug which is a nice thing, I guess. If any community member has similar issues and has actually discovered something that helps, I'd be happy to hear.
Things I've tested:
-Rebooting
-Windows resolution scale is 100%
-Running the software in compatibility mode for a slightly older Windows (sometimes this helps for random things..)
Currently what I am doing:
-Installing a 2023 version
Thank you for reading this or replying to this. Sorry in advance, if this is a common issue and I have not given any new input to it. Cheers.
I have not seen issues with popup windows nor drop down menus in Revit 2024. Do you use 2 monitors? Sometimes the display scale of the monitors is different, causing this kind of issues. I use only 1 wide monitor, so I have not seen that problem. But I had the issue (with a previous version of Revit) at the office, using 2 monitors, and that was the reason for the problem.
What specifically are these "bugs" doing? You didn't mention. Only that you are "utterly unable to do any real design with the product" because of these "Pop-up and drop-down menu bugs".
Interesting. Perhaps there is someting wrong with my Windows, then.
I am using only one monitor.
I'll do now some research considering these issues in general in Windows, instead of just Revit.

What OS are you using? 11?
@studioWU6AE wrote:Yes, Windows 11.
Interesting. I have been waiting for more Win 11 feedback on this forum, but there's not been a whole lot of it.
Autodesk just declared last year that Win 11 is FULLY compatible with 2023 and above. I was and remain incredulous about that claim.
