plotter calibration

My question is about plot scale accuracy and plotter calibration.  We use ACAD 2017 & Revit Architecture 2017.  We have Canon plotters less than +/-2 yrs old.  After plotting a floor plan from Revit, I found when measuring that a 60' dimension measured +/-60'-4".  I exported the floor plan to ACAD, plotted, & found the same scale inaccuracy.  I know how to use the "plotter calibration wizard", create the .pmp file, & associate this .pmp file with the .pc3 plotter file in ACAD.  My (2) questions are:  first, does Revit 2017 have a similar "plotter calibration wizard", and second, once I associate the .pmp file with the .pc3 file (in ACAD), will this apply to all the plots I use this .pc3 plotter configuration file to plot?

Thank you

Unfortunately Revit does not use PC3 drivers, but Windows drivers. Unless you can find some function in the manufacturer provided printer software to calibrate the printer, you are out of luck.

Another approach is print to PDF at a certain percentage so that when you print the PDF to the printer, it comes out correctly sized.

After considering this, I do realize that Revit does not use .pc3 files to plot.  I am somewhat confused that ACAD provides the means to calibrate a plotter to insure accurate plots to scale, & Revit does not provide the same ability?

They are completely different animals. If you compared what-can-be-done-here-what-cannot-be-done-there between the two you would waste an all day long and it is till not done 😉
