Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if someone could help me with these stair railing. As you can see, the railing does not continue up the stairs and there is a break at a different level on the stiar landing. How would I go about making this railing joined and continuous up the stairs? Thank you very much for your time and help
Regards
Evan
You'll need to make your landing bigger/ an L shape, to allow for the balustrade to meet each other, if possible add enough landing to allow the change in direction to be level, rather than to wrap straight up the stairs, if that makes sense)
If you cant make the landing bigger you'll need to settle for a vertical segment, which you can add in the family type settings.
Thank you both for your help. That makes sense if I could make the landing bigger but I cant. I tried adding the vertical segment but It didnt do anything so maybe I was doing it wrong I dont know. How does newel help? I'm not sure how. Anyway, I really appreciate you both taking the time to help me. ![]()
Hi barthBradley,
you can add newel posts by changing the corner post type, so every time the stair changes direction a newel will be placed.
you can add the at the bottom of the 'edit baluster placement' section of the type properties of the balustrade family.
