PLEASE HELP - Architect gone out of business

Hello,

I wonder if you lovely people could help me.  My architect has recently gone out of business due to the COVID-19 situation and I have a planning application which has been submitted to the local authority and they have asked for a few modifications to the .rvt file (which I have) but I am not in a position to make any changes as I am learning architecture and not qualified.

I wonder if someone who has REVIT 2021 could kindly take a look at a file and make a few modifications for me please ? I know what needs to change but I don't have the means to make the changes.

Thank you

I would seek out an Architect in your jurisdiction, especially if plans are wet-stamped.  There may be liability issues.

Agreed, most likely the local jurisdiction does require a professional stamp but it may not. I would check before proceeding. Anyone can make the changes to the model but someone, most likely professional, has to take responsibility for the design.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Thank you @Anonymous.  Right now I just need to find someone with a working copy of Revit 2021. There is no issue of liability as these are modifications needed to an existing plan of which only 2 minor changes are needed:

1) raise the roof height

2) add a juliette balcony

There are no major structural changes required, mainly cosmetic.  Is there anyone out there who could kindly assist me ?

Thank you very much

Hi @RobDraw, the plans are not wet stamped or need any architect details to be provided as I fortunately decided to act myself when I submitted to the local authority in the UK. I just need to find someone who could make the necessary changes and export as a pdf file.

You consider raising a roof height "minor"???  I got to see this.  Post the RVT.

That does not sound quite right but it's your risk to take. Personally, I would verify the requirements of the local authority before "deciding to act myself". Unfortunately, I can't help. Maybe someone else will come along that can do the work for you.

Good luck!
