Are the Plates modeled? Beams/Structural Framing? If so, TAG ALL in the View. That's pretty automatic.
Plates are tricky in Revit... Difficult to schedule, difficult to tag... Maybe you can do it filtering and using "tag all". Maybe with Dynamo it would be more easy to do, filtering by elements then tagging...
What's "tricky" about them? Are we taking Beams here (e.g. Top Plates)?
The name of the tread is "plates". Revit do not consider plates as Advance Steel, so, is very hard to take of a BOM if you use plates to create "plates"... I mean, if you create a platform and need to list, do not use plate on the flor nor walls, you may use steel floor or steel wall... Kind of annoying...
No, I don't automatically infer "Advanced Steel" from "Plates" - especially on this forum. In my world, a plate refers a component of wood frame construction running horizontally along the top of the stud wall. Maybe we should be asking what the OP means by "Plates". Maybe he's talking about flat dishes, typically circular and made of china, from which food is eaten or served. 😉

I don't want to model them, I don't want to annotate them. Any other option?
Well, your original question was: "Just wondering if there's a way to annotate plates automatically in wall section." If you don't want to model them and you don't want to annotate them, then what the heck do you want to do? Nothing? If so, the solution is simple: check out my You-Tube Channel for a video tutorial on how to "call it a day and go have a beer".
