My colleague wanted to shift the floor levels up 4000mm, but once they were moved, the plan views that were associated with the levels were deleted following a message saying: "these elements will be deleted".
I have previously have done this in my own projects, and the plans were still retained.
So, does this indicate that some settings in the my colleague's revit file is causing this error to occur? if so, any idea what it would be?
thanks
Maybe some intermediate levels were not moved the same so things got delete obviously. Undo and move the project base point 4 meters down and leave all levels alone. Please.
All the levels except for the base reference level were moved. It could not be undone, had to close the central model and open again without saving. Could it have something to do with the fact there are link models inside a master file? the link model would have different levels. It is not so much that "things" or model elements that was deleted is the problem but the plan views being deleted is the undesired outcome. Also there was no other model element got deleted which quite different to my own experience which was the opposite - sweeps and model elements were deleted.

interesting.... Deleting a Level and redrawing it will result in the initial view associated to the level being deleted, but moving levels should not result in them being deleted. Did you look for a ".000X" file, dated prior to the move, on the users pc that could be recentralized?
