I'm looking for a way for Revit to generically hatch walls with the material it's cutting, but with less detail than medium or fine views. I've attached a screenshot of what I want it to look like (but requires me to hatch the walls myself), but I haven't been able to figure out a way to make it work. Fine and Medium show all the wall construction, I'm only looking for displaying main elements like CMU or metal studs, while maintaining the detail within the wall should I want to cut a section. Any help would be appreciated!
@ToanDN, that will work if my entire wall is made of just one material, but for walls where I have a metal stud and then a masonry veneer it won't display correctly. I'm more looking to highlight specific portions of a wall that can help identify it even without a partition tag.
Thanks for your response!
Another approach would be to show only the wall core in the view. This can be done through a Filter applied to the View.

Hey @Anonymous: Check out this video posted by some guy named Toan.
You can Create Parts and play with Merge Parts and Divide/Exclude Parts to get the Parts to display with the correct materials.
