So I've made this plan note found on this video (with some custom modifications to suit my practice). But I can't find a direct way to copy and past similar notes between different views.
In this case I have a set of notes calling out the various components of the front elevation, and these elements are similar on the side elevation. If this were AutoCAD, I'd just copy and rotate the notes to the new view, and save myself a lot of time. But it specifically won't let me copy the notes aligned to the side elevation.
I'm wondering is this a left/right versus front/back issues. So that it might let me copy notes from the left elevation to the right elevation (plan east and west in this case). If anyone has a solution it would save me a lot of time.
See attached image for what I'm getting at.
Yep, when I copy them to the clipboard the option for Paste Aligned to Current View is grayed out. Which leads me to believe that it doesn't like coping between non-aligned views. Very frustrating, as this particular project has so many repeat element all around it's exterior. it would be extremely easy to note up one column, and effectively copy the notes from one to another.
But you can still Paste them to the View. No? Also, you should be able to snap align their bounding box to something on placement.
