Placing / Referencing a Schedule in a Detail View

Anyone else wanted to try placing a schedule or note block in a detail view? I'm trying to make a reference similar to what my SE has done, but with Revit.

Seems like I can't do this directly in Revit, so I'm stuck with either drawing a schedule and using text like the above (yuk), or placing my schedule on a sheet on top of an empty detail view (meh).

Any other workarounds I could use that are more Revit-y?

Why do you need an empty detail view (meh)?  Is it just so you can have the view title?

I need a detail title so I can reference it with a detail callout. Preferably a "real" one so the references are updated if it gets moved.

Do the 'meh' approach then.
