Phasing of non-sequential phases

Hello,

I have a project where I have to show the proposal changes for two different existing phases.

One is related to an approved project, and the other is related to a built project.

I know that Revit, by design, only shows changes relating to two sequential phases, but I would like to know if anyone has a suggestion, or knows a workaround to do what I want?

Until now, the process I have used to get around this limitation involves using Design Options in the previous phases, but this process is complicated and allows for the creation of errors and mistakes in more complex processes.

Alternatively, I've also been exporting the views to AutoCAD and making the changes manually, but it's also a less-than-functional process.

I send in attachment a test file where I would like to see the changes between stage 1-3 and 2-3.

Thank you in advance.

what we have done in the past when it comes to phasing is create a shared parameter for our varying phases and use that in a filter and select the components , elements affected by phasing to display or not and if you need to show multiple phases in one view in the filter set the colors of the phases to vary as well.

example:

Existing  = gray

New = Green

Future = Dashed Yellow

whatever your naming your Phase doesn't really matter as long as they make sense to the teams

@kadmonkeePerfect!

Your answer made me look at this from another perspective and I managed to make it work.

However, the process can be even simpler, instead of using a shared parameter, just create a filter and use the phase-related based on when elements are demolished rule.

Thanks a lot for the help!
