Phasing of Copied Elements

Is there a way to copy an element and maintain the "Phase Created"?  For example if I have a wall that is phased existing can I copy that wall and the copied element remain existing.  Seems like copied elements always default to new construction.

Hello,

Copy and pasted elements will always use the phase of the view they are being pasted into (since they are considered new elements).
