Phasing:not showing new window only demolished window........

hi,

can anyone please help?

so i have this issue which is driving me nuts.

in my new phase which is showing me new+existing+demo

any time there any new wall floor, window doors etc. which is on top of a demolished wall floor, window.

the demolished object will block the  the view of the new object no matter how i override the demo

how can i override the demo so i can still see me new object

does anyone have a solution?

so I far I have dealt with this by selecting the demo object and by overriding graphics in view by element and  making it fully transparent

Check the Window Family  2D symbolic lines and whether it has a Masking Region

Another thing is to check the sill height of the existing/demolished VS that of the new. If the New is lower than the existing, the the Existing Demolished could be masking the New Window. (this appears to be the case shown in the images you posted since it seems to work when you set transparency to 100%)

thanx I checked both options and they are fine.

(sill Hight, no masking,view range)

it seems to me that for some reason the demolished layer is blocking the new layer(since its not only in windows)

when i override it in phases even without pattern i still see the demolished wall in white.....and not the new window

thanx a lot to one and all

The override colors you are using are hard to distinguish (existing vs new)...however, both Demo and New should show if you have set the filter to show New/Demo/Existing (all set to Overriden)... see example below (difference between the masked and unmasked is that

  • the unmasked type shows the Wall projection from the 3D wall element as Existing
  • while the Masked type shows both Demo (from the window 2D symbolic line) and New (the infill)

If these are not the results you are getting then you have something going on in the family itself.

but problem wasn't solved and also now the new walls doesn't appear with
material detail (that i set in visibility graphics-show pattern foreground)
