Phasing Issue

Hi guys!

I've got a problem regarding phases in Revit. I need to demolish an existing door (or window) and replace it with another type with same dimention and also in the same position. The error Revit shows is "Instancies do not cut any object". Any suggestion?

Thank you very much for your time.

Stefano

Demolish the door, select it, copy it to clipboard, paste it aligned to same place. Once you do that, change the type (or family) of the new door. I tested. It works.

Thank you very much for your qiuck reply.

It seems to work once, if I have more than a window/door on the same wall it doesn't!!

Any suggestions? Have you tried with more than an object?

Thanks,

Stefano

No need to select them all at once. Do the procedure on one instance (one by one)

Are you monitoring the Phases when you paste copied elements. Pasting a copied element put the element in the current view phase and automatically sets its demolition to "None".  Sounds like a conflict with an infill. In other words, the element pasted exists in the same future phase as another opening.
