Phasing issue for curtain wall doors.

Hi all,

I am working on a refurbishment project and I have existing curtain wall facade. Whole facade is existing building so it is modelled in existing phase. The problem is, we want to create a door on this curtain wall but as you know curtain wall is in 'existing' phase and you are not allow to change only door's phase inside the curtain wall.

I found some solutions and if you want to demolish existing door which nested in the curtain wall they are OK but I want to create a new door(proposed phase) into the existing curtain wall.

Thanks in advance.

Ps; I've attached a screenshot which show particular area of the project and color legend is; Grey - Existing phase, Orange - Proposed and Red - Demolished.

Regards

split the curtain wall on both side and assign the area to be demolished in new construction phase.

then in a new view create the matching curtain wall and door in the area that was split.

- Edit profile the existing curtain wall and make a hole at the door

- Fill the hole with a curtain wall type with just the door under existing phase, then demolish

- Copy paste the door above to new phase and change door type if required

another approach would be to host the "Proposed" door to an embedded wall.
