Phasing in glass roof panel

Hello everyone,

In a project i need to assign new phase for the glass roof panel. I have tried for the roof panel with similar idea changing the curtain wall panel first to the basic wall element. Afterwards dividing the wall elements into parts and assigning new phase to the wall element. But for the roof panel i did not find similar like system wall element. So that i can change the roof panel into other system element and then phase.

Can anyone please help with any suggestion .I would be happy to hear from you.

Kind regards,

Saiful

You can't change panels of a sloped glazing to basic wall type. I would create two sloped glazing, one for the existing frames/millions, and another for the new panels.

That or a different approach using divided surfaces and adaptive families.

@ToanDN nice to hear from you.  I have tried both of your suggestions. creating 2 sloped glazing one for existing and another for new phase shows panels with mullions together in view. Actually i would like to change only the panels in new phase and mullions remain same as existing phase. In view then applying a phase filter new panels can be identified.

Alternative approach  dividing surface and adaptive components, i could not able to define mullions at UV Grids of the surface ! For that, i have drawn first a "In-Place Mass" surface on the sloped roof position and placed 4 point adaptive components on the surface.  If a create a curtain system on this mass surface first, this sloped glazing becomes again like as before panels and mullions together.Roof panel.jpg

Okay.  I will give you a small example how they work.  I just wanted to know the version so that I won't give you the one you cannot open.

Same methodology if you model it using adaptive families.  One for the frames, another for the panels so that you can phase them.

@ToanDNThanks a lot Smiley Very Happy. Your example helps me great. My Revit template misses "Empty system panel". I have managed this system element from your Revit template. Now i can create my own frame , panel and phasing separately to it :). I will try with alternative adaptive components too. Empty system panel.jpg
