Phasing causing crash

Phasing causing crash

Hi all,

I am having an issue with a revit project that is causing it to crash. I have come to believe that the issue is somehow related to phasing.

I first noticed the problem when I was unable to see references for any new views that I was trying to create (plans, sections, interior elevations, or detail callouts). The views are being created, but references are not showing up for them anywhere. When I go to the new views in the project browser and look at their properties, there is no option for phase or phase filter. In addition, when I tried Manage>Phases, the project crashes, every time.

I CAN see the new view references in a newly created plan, but  none of the old ones. This new plan also does not show phase or phase filter in its properties. It is as if everything is on a new phase, but I am not able to see what phase that is because the model will crash.

I am able to copy old views and rename them as necessary. With this workaround, I’m still able to work in the model but I would rather resolve the issue fully. I can go back to an older local file to pinpoint around the time that the problem started, but can not determine how anything I was working on at the time could have caused this sort of issue.

Any insight on this strange problem would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

What version of Revit are you using? Do you have all of the service packs installed? Have you tried running a repair or reinstall of Revit, or doing an Audit of your project? (All basic Autodesk questions...) Smiley Very Happy

Thanks for your reply.
Revit 2014 UR3 installed. I have tried running an audit with no luck. I have not yet tried running a repair or reinstall. I will see if this works as I haven't been able to find any other solution.

Is thie issue limited to this one project? Is it working properly in other projects?

It is specific to one project, and works fine on others. The problem also does not exist in older copies of the file that I have saved locally.
