Phase specific parameter to display in tag

Hi all,

Similar to what Mike asked here: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-api-forum/live-parameter-values-for-tagging-different-elements/..., I would like to have a shared parameter that displays as a prefix to a tag depending on the phase of the view phase and the phase created of the element being tagged. I've managed to create this as seen below, but the issue arrives when I change phases and want to change the letter corresponding to that phase.

When I change the value to "construction prefix" the tag in the previous phase now displays my updated prefix. Is there a way to create a phase specific parameter to display, or any other ways around to get the correct letter in my tag for each phase? Thanks!!

Best Regards,

Hersh

Hi,

This question seems not to be related to the Revit API. I didn't see any API related keywords.

Could you help me confirm this?

Thanks!

Definitely not API question indeed.

To answer your specific question : I believe Global Parameters offer the possibility of computing formulas. So you should search this way. But it will be a little bit more complicated than your static computation.

Not an API question but this popped up #2 on google, Autodesk please fix this issue! We need a phase parameter in tags to autoswitch when the phase of the tagged element changes or is new construction.

Thanks for the confirmation. Since you asked product questions in the Revit API forum, I moved this thread to the product support form. The Revit API forum is for asking questions about Revit API. Sorry for the inconvenience.

As you can see, this thread is under the Revit Architecture forum, not Revit API.
