Phase mapping and scheduling rooms

Hi,

I am trying to create a room schedule that includes the Phase of a project as a field. 

My central model has two linked files, Phase 1 and Phase 2:

this mapping makes sense for phase 2, i think:

But this doesn't seem like the right setup for phase 1.

Don't I need a future phase in the central model or somewhere for this to work correctly?

Trying to finish this matrix, will clarify what is missing I think.

For Phase 1 link you can set the link's Existing = Existing, and New Construction = both Phase 1 and Phase 2.  But for clarity, name the phases consistently for all links and host, and add phases so they align, even they will be empty.

So Phase 1 link should only have one construction phase (Phase 1)

It was a question but not worded well.

No.  

But I suggest adding Phase 2 to Phase 1 link and adding Phase 1 to Phase 2 link so everything align.
