Phase Graphic Overrides

Is there any way to break out graphic overrides for phases by view?

If you mean you would like to have Existing show as halftone in view A but show as dashed in view B and show as purple in view B, then no.

I'm always bothered by Revit's hard-coded decisions that SHOULD be user controlled. But I do understand the logic on this one. They rightly assume that most people are going to want to set up a single scheme and use it consistently throughout their document set. Their failure is in thinking that there would never be an exception.

Who said anything about different settings for the document set? I've got no problem with that. I was just looking for a way to display them differently in a working view without affecting the document set views and couldn't fine one. I thought maybe someone had a clever way of accomplishing this.

No.  Phase graphic overrides are per project, not per view.  You would have to use view's Filters for what you are after.

If I could filter by phase, I wouldn't have even asked the question. Did I miss something?

You didn't miss anything.  You cannot filter by Phase.  You would have to assign the Phasing information manually (or via a Dynamo script) to a different parameter in order to filter them.

We've been complaining about it - and other similar unnecessarily hard-coded behaviours - for a while.

Me too. What wouldn't I give for a purple view or two - or even pink.......

The limitations of phase graphic overrides has been a thorn in my side all day. Legitimate questions kept coming up. It's just too easy to negate the phase graphic overrides with other view specific overrides. Learning Dynamo just moved up the ladder a few rungs.
