Trying to set up a renovation template with existing and new phasing.
First i set up existing but when i duplicate sometimes the elevation marker gets half copied and when i try to set up elevation views it gets messy.
New elevation views start referencing to existing floorplans.
Can set up elevations to be existing and seperate ones for new.

Sorry i set it up and it works. Copied the elevation marker from the old into the new.
Seems to work only if you click on a elevation line it brings you back to an existing floorplan.
sections, elevations schedules and callouts are PHASE (view) specific
select the elevation triangle and change the phase to NEW
you copied the symbol from existing phase to another only to have it display in the new phase
you have 2 elevations that are pointing to the same view
delete the elevation symbol in the new view and create a new Elevation symbol
Nope.
Im working with an 2015 Revit LT version.
I create a new elevation marker in the right phase.
I go to the elevation view.
I click on the elevation and it brings me to the other phase.
did you set up a view for all levels in both phases?
levels are not part of a phase.
they are merely a reference point in the project
each view needs to be assigned to the correct phase
01 EXST
01 NEW
02 EXST
02 NEW
when the ELEVATION Tag is placed in the corresponding phase it will point to the correct view
I used 2 different elevation tags in this image (1) for each plan view Phase
Yes im trying to find out if the level head is also phase dependent.
Because everything works fine but if i click ON the levelhead in a elevation view it does not bring me to the right phase.
post 5 of 8 displays that it is actually phase dependant
select just the direction head triangle (not the square) and assign it the correct phase but do this only in the correct view
as in post 7 of 8 i show 2 different elevation tags in 2 different views with 2 different phases.
if i click on this one in new phase it brings me to the existing floor plan. Whatever i do it keeps doing the same. Yes i created different elevation markers for different phases and the views themselves are correct. But if i click on this blue levelhead it does not bring me to the right floorplan.
ok i see what you are doing now.
the levels have been created in the original views (existing) correct?
the levels do not recognize phase to my knowledge.
when you click on the level head it brings you to "A" view not the one you want.
if you have multiple views of the same level it can't distinguish which view you want to go to.
may i suggest that you use the project browser to select the correct view you want
possibly
but I don't think so
it has always been this way
If you renovate a 20 story building it most be difficult to find the right floorplan.
Thank you for your time on this day.
Anthony.

correct
all levels would be created at the time of Design which puts them all under the EXISTING Phase
which would take priority over any subsequent views regardless of Phase.
which makes sense
hope i was able to help
Right click "find refering views" brings up the right choice of views.
It will work for me i do housing renovation.
Tnx again.
good call i forgot about that option.
