PDF Printing

I like to set my plans on Arc D size.

I would usually set the pdf print to zoom for accuracy, and D size.

I have had complaints that some printers can not print this to letter size.

I wish I could fully understand a way for my clients to be able to print letter size, tabloid size or D size without problems.

I would like my clients to get my product printed to tabloid size to save on cost for discussion and markup.

But a lot of people only want to use their desktop printer.

But ultimately, they will have to be printed to the D size.

Would appreciate any thoughts on how I can control this.

Thanks!

I would set the print to ANSI D - 22x34. That way when you do 50%, it basically fit 11x17 (Tabloid size). It is perfect setup so the client will get scaled print set.

Try with different printers(Blue Beam, Foxit reader). May be its will help you.

@glkirk

I hate to say it but… this sounds like a “user error” situation on your customer’s end…

For plotting or printing to PDF please refer to the attachment sent with this reply or take a quick look at the photo’s

I provided. Hope this helps…

You give them full sized PDF and all they need to do is print it to fit whatever paper sizes their desktop printers are capable of. The margins will varies due to the proportions of different paper sizes and so be it. Nothing needs to change on your end.

Thanks, I'm going to take that advise.

Even though I saw where their printer could make heads or tails and find a way to print.

This is the only time i have heard this complaint.

must be their printer.
