Sorry for a repost but I don't see my previous anywhere after I tried to edit & add more images to the post.
Hi all,
After googling for a while, I know this bug has been with Revit for a long time. When wireframe display mode is active and background and/or foreground of any element (walls, columns) are solid filled with transparency rather than 0 or not set, Revit will print all solid fills in black instead of greyscale. Some proposed workaround as switch it on hidden or shaded mode but we want to show beams (shown as lines) on top of walls below this only works in wireframe mode.
When we tried to find a workaround for this, we found a very interesting bug and we don't know how to solve or fix the issue. In wireframe mode, if we draw a wall (solid fill with light grey on foreground) first then draw a beam on top of the wall (in 3D, top of wall elevation = bottom of beam elevation), then when we print we can see the beam on top of the wall. However, if the beam is drawn first (exactly the same order in 3D in which beam is right above the wall), the foreground of the wall covers the beam. Beam is not shown. Is anyone aware of this issue and do you have any idea how to fix it?
you can refer to this article and see if helps. thanks
