I'm modeling a highrise appt and I've modeled one floor that will be pasted up to multiple levels. I've done this before without issues, but I've deleted the pasted floors on a couple of occasions to edit my floor that I'm pasting from. I now have my paste-able floor ready to go, but now when I paste it, the whole floor is randomly offset by +6' 6". It also did this same thing earlier with a -2'6" offset, which I didn't realize until I had already made a bunch of progress. Does anyone have any idea why the Paste Aligned to Selected Levels command is adding this random offset, and how I can prevent it?
Check for this..
1. Level to Level Distance ..If this is different then the pasting of walls will adjust for the offset.
2. Walls : Try to keep all walls unconnected.. if walls are connected to upper levels then while pasting
again it will show some errors or try to adjust to new heights.
3. ALL THE ELEMENTS : Walls, Door, Window Etc.. MAKE SURE all the elemets are Associated to the " Current Level "
if even element is associated to some other level then while pasting it will show error
Ex: All Walls : Level 1 ( Associated)
All Window : Level 1 ( Associated )
One or two doors : Ground Level , with offset 6'6".. this will show up in your group on Level 1..
but its wrongly associated to lower level ( Ground Level ).. This checking is required to make sure group behaves properly..
only way is to go through all the elements..
hope that helps.
Cheers!
i have tried all these but still it is not working ad an offset for 900mm keeps appearing again and again
