Hi
I am working on a project that has extensively used groups to replicate same building modules. I am using parts for the external facade panels ( one ginat wall with parts in grids for panelling) and now realized the parts in the group instances are not actually instances of the same group despite that the original wall is group instances. i.e. when I changed the panel materials in one group, the other group instances stay the same. Looks like Revit parts is not a completed feature.
is there any work around? or I have to manually update every group instances? I have tried assembly but apparently a copy of the assembly has to be a new assembly.
@alexlj as far as i know, parts are not groupable...the group instance contains only the original wall

I don't know exactly what you are doing, but it sounds systematic. Maybe you can get to where you want to go by saving the elements to an RVT and reinserting them into the Project via Linking. Food for thought.
