Parameter to track the cut length of a structural columns

Hi everyone.

I am working on a project with a wooden structure and I am cutting structural column families with sloped reference planes (as shown in the elevation image attached)

I would like to know whether it is a way to create a parameter that tracks the longest cut length of the column. IN the parameters section I can only see the height of the column with stays the same after cutting.

A bonus would be to track the shortest cut length and the angle of the cut.

Thank you so much.

What do you mean by "track"?

Thanks for your reply.
Well basically I mean a parameter that shows me the cutting length if I
decide to move or rotate the reference plane. The goal is to be able to
create a schedule of the lengths of each column so I can send the wooden
planks straight to the saw.
Thanks

Only thing I can think of would be that each column would need to be an Assembly, then you can use Assembly views to dimension the cut length of the column. Revit does not really have any fabrication capabilities (yet) and not sure you can do this with parameters.

Thanks.
I will analyse your solution.
What I have thought is to place structural beams vertically on top of
vertical reference planes. With beams there's a cut length parameter that
changes according to the cut location.
Thanks
