Parameter for nested tab location based off radius

Hi,

I'm trying to set tabs to array around the circumference of a base and adjust to various sizes.

How can I set it up so that as the radius of the base is adjusted the radius contoured to the same dimension also changes within the nested family (tab) and the location of the tab moves accordingly too? Or is there a better way to array the tabs around the base?

Thanks

Chris

Would like to try clarify my request a little.

I'd like to set up a nested family array rotating around a circle, I'd like the nested family to move with the radius as it increases/decreases and where it joins/touches the circle to adjust the face touching it so that it appears to be seamless.

Or maybe there is a better way of doing this so that the objects are joined?

The radius will go from 55mm upto 175mm.

Thanks

Chris

Is the number of the fins changed based on the radius of the cylinder?

Yes, the largest product with a radius of 122.5mm has 6 tabs, the other 3 products R85mm, R72.5mm & R55mm all have 4 fixing tabs each. Happy to manually adjust the perimeters so that each size can be selected from the properties drop down in a project as this isn't a custom/variable product nothing too fancy is required in terms of perimeter formulas.

I want to provide all the options for the product family within on Revit Family file rather than making a user download 4 files and import all 4 families for all the sizes.
