Painted in-place casework material showing up as not painted in schedule - Imgur.pngWhat Gives?

The sweep I'm painting has "plywood, sheathing" chosen as the material. I'm applying the paint by editing the model-in-place component and painting therein. I WAS filtering the schedule for painted material = YES until my boss caught the absurdly low number for the tile. I removed the paint, put it back on, and it still shows up as non-painted material area in the schedule.

"Material: As Paint" ="Yes", applies to Materials applied to Systems Families (e.g. Walls, Floors) via Paint Tool.

Thank you for the explanation. Is there a rationale for this? I feel that such ad-hoc rules for counting painted-on materials makes the schedule system itself untrustworthy.

I don't know why, but you can Filter MTO by Materials with no Volume to find those Painted Surfaces.
