Pagefile/RAM issues

Hello,

I am running Revit 2017 SP2. I have some issues with some rather large revit links. We have broken these into workset for ease of management and also for issues we've had with the page file balooning to a rather large size and running out of space on the C:\ drive. Every now and then we just end up running out of space on our C drive.

Is there a way to have Revit load the file into actual RAM versus Virtual Ram/Page File? I have 28GB of Ram but the systme is only utilizing 9.5gb of it.

Hi from Spain

How amount of free space have you in C drive?
Temporary files in revit are not only related to virtual memory.

Check the location of journal files, usually located in C:\Users\*USERNAME*\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 20XX\Journals

In this folder, Revit stores temporary files too specially when you are working on a network revit file.

C drive is at 42gb of space free prior to loading a Revit Model. Drops to 38.1GB after I open the model without any links. We are an electrical contractor so we tend to work with a lot of links (Can't wait to move to 2018). With the Arch & Structural model loaded, the drive space is at 35.2. The culprit always seem to be the Steel model which are probably cad imports.
Generally speaking things are manageable but certain links the page file balloons out of control. Not sure if memory leaks or what.
My journal folder shows 1.48GB.
