Is there a way to override the cut pattern of a material rather than a model category in a view template?
We would like to be able to easily switch to a coloured override where all concrete turns green and masonry turns red.
I am aware of the filter option but where we have a wall consisting of both of these materials it appears that the override can only be effected by one. Both the concrete and masonry skins would then be overridden to be either green or red but not both.
By doing this, one would also need to apply a filter for each model category which takes time.
Alternatively one can change the cut pattern per material in the manage material tab, but this then needs to be done every time and takes unnecessary time.
Is there a better way?
This is not easily done, but it is possible if you create parts from the wall. The attached image shows the two filters applied to a cavity wall to show the red and green for the concrete and brick skins.
