Outlets on RCP

I usually put electrical outlets on the floor plans, and switches on the RCP.  It seems that these are in the same category, so if I turn electrical fixtures off, it turns both off on both plans.  How do I separate these so the outlets don't show up on the ceiling plans?  Or have I been doing this wrong all these years, and they are supposed to be on the ceiling plans????  I like my outlets to relate to casework and furniture, which is why I put them on the floor plans.

You could use a View Filter to hide the the outlets in RCP.

You can change the switches to Lighting Devices instead of Electrical Fixtures.  Actually, the stock family in the MEP library is already under Lighting Devices.  Just the one in the Architecture library is under Electrical Fixtures, which is less correct IMHO.

Yes, and that worked, and I learned out to create and apply filters in the process.  Thanks.
