Organic shape mass with wood curved beams - beams are tilted

Hi,

I got a problem with bemas and organic shape mass.

Question is how can i straight beams ? Make them paraller with x and z axis.

Second question, if I making glass facade should i put beams on the both sides of glass? I didn't because if families are right next to each other, there will be 2 beams on the same place. That cause on the beginning  is missing beam(see picture). Is there any other way hot to fix it ? Or just recreate specific families with beams on the both sides of glass.

See pictures with specific family and object.

Thanks for help.

Can you share the timber adaptive family?

Of course, here is adaptive family.

you don't think curved beams would work?

See attached:

- create an adaptive family with only adaptive points and a thru-point spline

- place it on your mass nodes and repeat

- load mass in project and draw timber beam using pick line + tick 3d snaping box and pick the curved splines

@ToanDN

That works but not for all organic shapes and beam sections...See image 1 below ...trying to apply same method to add purlins on top (on a not too complicated organic form) simply fails - and adjusting the width/section of the purlins doesn't really resolves it.

And when it does work and Revit places the purlins after sever trial and errors, the alignment/justification of the rafters and the purlins almost always never match

I do not believe that the use of this feature was intended for such purposes...don't think there is a way around adaptive components

Thank you so much, Everything works well but of course one solution make another problems. :grinsendes_Gesicht_mit_lächelnden_Augen:

So, I follow your orders and the problem is after repeat adaptive family on the mass surface some windows are fliped, if I click in properties to flip family but just invert happend (means from bad windows are good and from good windows are bad), and i can't flip just one window, I can flip only whole repeat windows. Maybe is another way how to make adaptive windows. What do you think ?

And one more problem, but that is detail.... If I making beams by pick the line, i can pick just line between U grid, that means One beam is connected form several beams, so concetion between each part of beam are not good.

Everyhting is shown on Pictures.

Thank you.
