Option and Main Model overlapping when parts displayed

Hello,

I have been developing design options and I may have created some overlapping elements accidentally.

I need to be able to delete the extra wall in each option but still have one editable wall remain. Once I delete what seems like a redundant wall, I can no longer edit the other one.

An option can overlap other options, but should never overlap Main model.  You just have to fix elements in the Main Model and in each Option with that principle in mind.

Parts have nothing to do with any of this.  Fix the originals.

What is the difference in functionality between "adding" an element to an option set and copy/pasting it in from the main model?

You would want to cut and paste as opposed to copy and paste as @ToanDN stated. The idea is that your option will occupy that same space in the main model, so you don't want your option to land right on top of an instance in the main model. I generally use reference planes in the main model when it comes to cutting walls, this way you can see the reference planes in every option and use them to snap to.
