Ok, here is the backstory...
We are upgrading domain and moving data from legacy server to new high end Dell server with SSDs. All servers are in same environment, switches and location.
Old server is fine for opening and working on any Revit file.
Data was moved to new server to test. Now Revit files can take up to 2+ hours to open. Other files, AutoCAD, Rhino, Sketchup and others open completely fine on the new server.
The scenerio we are seeing is this.
The Revit test performed on the new server had the following results:
Two workarounds were tested:
These workarounds would have to be performed on every Revit model.
Any help on getting this resolved would be great.
Thanks
Are your hard drives encrypted? Revit doesn't like that.
Go into your Revit.ini file and remove all saved locations...
Also if you have any libraries that are moving to the new server you want to update that information as well.
Another possibility is the server isn't connected to a gigabit network.
It's on a gigabit switch/network.
Where would I find the revit.ini file?
Found the revit.ini and removed and UNC paths that pointed towards old location/files.
Still nothing, same thing...
