Random idea, but is it possible to have a section open automatically after creating?

The suggested solution does not help at all.
Often the floor plan will have tags turned off unless inserted into a sheet. Then you have to search at random where Revit has placed and figure out what Revit named that view so that you can put it into a sheet. It would handy if once your make a section cut or try to create an elevation that it would automatically open.

It works even if the section is not visible.

That's a workflow problem, not a Revit one.

I would guess that suggestion has already been made in the IDEAS forum. You can vote it up if you'd like.
