A very small problem that recurs with revit linked models: simple example: 2 revit model files that link to each other. a site plan and a building plan. For a period of weeks, each file opens and automatically links to the other linked revit model. Then it begins to occur that the linked model does not automatically link at the open routine, using Revit Home. A warning comes up (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_7MOqZHXavfC5gfkgx5O4Nzm47_gIVdK/view?usp=drivesdk) to "Open Manage Links to Solve Problem". (Revit is saying "where did I put my keys?") Clik on that, (answer "right where you left them") then the required link is listed, select, then everything links up fine. Of course, that is not such a hard thing to do, I just wonder if anyone else has noticed this happening or a fix.
Could be something with locating Linked Files on Google Drive?
Is this link model set in local C drive or server file? I notice these issue exist if another user have a different file path map than yours on server. For instance their server map will be S: drive and your would be G: drive. If Revit pickup difference in those mapping, it will create those error.
Could be a newly uploaded Revit file to BIM360.
BIM360 models don't link "by name" but by their GUID created on BIM360.
If you relink (browse to BIM360 folder) you can use the same name, and it's GUID will update internally.
New/updated models should originate from BIM360 workshared models else updates WILL break the link reference.
