Only one of these two structure framing family shows an end line on the 2d floor plan. What is the difference?

Hello,

I hope this is a relevant topic that can assist fellow BIM users.

I am encountering an issue with two distinct structural framing families in Revit. One of them displays an end line even when a girder and beams are joined together. However, the other family requires the unjoining of elements to reveal the end lines of the beam.

The primary distinction I've observed between these two families is that one is created using a profile family, whereas the other does not include a profile family.

I have attached two different families and an image to discribe the problem.  (Revit version 2024)

Thank you and hope you all stay well.

Not a height difference or elevation difference between the beam and the girder in one situation?

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

I would suggest this is more of a Symbolic and Visual Representation and the beams are not cleaning up as expected.

The first point i noted was that your Symbolic Representation was based on Project Settings rather that Family Settings which OOTB Revit families use.

I could see no issue between the Profile and Sketch version of the Sweeps as this is personal preference so if anything the S- Beam should work as expected as it follows the Revit standards families so the only other point worth considering and it is the most Relevant with concrete elements and is generic for all Revit models, if the concrete Material Is not the exactly the same the joins will not Clear up correct and show a joining line.

In your model you have 2 different materials for each beam.
